Lord Fletchers Old Lake Lodge
Compete in adult and youth divisions for the largest crappie by weight. The top five catches in each category will be recognized with special awards.
Every angler who weighs in a crappie is eligible for the grand prize, awarded to the participant whose catch is closest to a randomly selected “secret weight” determined by the tournament director.
Enjoy a variety of activities beyond fishing, including vendor booths, games, drawings, and a giant raffle. There’s something for everyone, making it a perfect outing for the whole family.
Proceeds from this event benefit Memories Made Outdoors, an organization dedicated to helping veterans create lasting memories through outdoor adventures.
The Lake Minnetonka Crappie Contest has been a cherished spring tradition for 53 years. However, for reasons unknown, the previous ownership decided to discontinue the event. Several of our board members, who participated annually, recognized the chance to continue making a positive impact on the community through fishing, fun, and memorable experiences. This event has the capacity to welcome over 1,000 attendees of all ages, with a primary focus on engaging children. Our aim is to ensure that every child receives a complimentary fishing rod.
We envision a day filled with interactive games and activities for kids and families to enjoy. Additionally this event will help MMO generate revenue for our organization. We also plan to invite other organizations and supporters to join us. Similar groups will be welcome in the vendor area to showcase their offerings and promote their missions. This event serves as an excellent platform to demonstrate that we are all working together rather than competing against one another.
The Crappie Contest will proceed at Lord Fletchers on May 3rd, 2025, and will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
Memories Made Outdoors is a local non profit organization. MMO provides incredible fishing experiences to Military and First Responders. These trips come at no cost to them. MMO is entering it’s second year as an organization. Year one, MMO impacted 31 veterans and first responders.
